Bell Bottom to stream on Amazon Prime from September 16

After a four week run at the cinema halls,  the Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom releases on Amazon Prime Video on September 16.

Sharing the announcement with fans, Lara Dutta,  who played former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the Espionage thriller,  said, 'Bringing you the the most important undercover covert operation, akshay kumar style  #BellBottomOutInPrime, 16th September ."

The film's release on Amazon Prime Video comes four weeks after its release in cinemas on August 19.

Produced by Vasu Bhagnani of Puja entertainment,  Bell Bottom stars Akshay Kumar in the lead with Vaani Kapoor,  Lara Dutta,  Huma Qureshi and Adil Hussein.

The film has been directed by Ranjit Tiwari.

Though the promos and trailer of the film generated tremendous buzz among cinelovers and film exhibitors, it had an average run at the cinema halls,  earning approximately Rs 28  cr at the end of its third weekend.

The average run of the film at the box office is being attributed to the theatres across India operating at just 50 percent occupancy and the closure of cinema halls in Maharashtra, which forms a big market for Hindi films.

Notwithstanding it's average run,  Bell Bottom is the first Hindi film , after Baghi 3, to near the Rs 30 cr mark at the box office in India post the pandemic

An Espionage thriller,  Bell Bottom is about a officer from the secret service (code named  Bell Bottom) orchestrate an operation to rescue several people held hostage by four terrorists on a flight. One of the most awaited films this year, Bell Bottom has been directed by Ranjit M Tewari and produced by Pooja Entertainment and Emmay Entertainment.  

Bell Bottom stars Akshay Kumar in the lead with Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi in other prominent roles.

The film was earlier scheduled to release on July 27. However,  due to uncertainty on reopening of theatres,  Akshay Kumar announced that the film will release in cinemas on August 19.

The news of the film's theatrical release has cheered the industry as well the audiences.
