Trailer of Dhamaka promises edge of the seat thriller,  film to release on Netflix on November 19

A terrorist strike on Mumbai's Bandra Worli  sea link serves as a much needed opportunity for journalist Arjun Pathak to reclaim his position as prime time anchor on a television new channel.

However,  with  the terrorist strike   setting off a dangerous chain of events endangering several lives, Arjun Pathak finds himself caught between his conscience and need to encash on the opportunity coming his way.

It is this thrilling chain of events in the life of Arjun Pathak that form the subject of the upcoming thriller Dhamaka,  featuring Kartik Aaryan in the lead opposite Mrunal Thakur, that will stream on Netflix from November 19.

Trailer of Dhamaka,  which was today unveiled by Kartik Aaryan  along with the producers Ronnie Screwvala,  director Ram Madhvani and Co stars Mrunal Thakur and Amrita Subhash at a function , promises an edge of the seat thriller .

The trailer shows Arjun Pathak,  a prime time anchor who has become a radio jockey,  getting a  call on radio about the terrorist strike on the Mumbai sea link.

Seeing an opportunity to break the news, Arjun negotiates with the head of the news channel (Amrita Subhash) about reclaiming his position as a prime time anchor in return for the exclusive news break. He is seen talking to the terrorist on the prime time new.

Soon after, however,  he is seen caught between his conscience and his career.

Speaking at the launch of the trailer,  Kartik Aaryan said that he is really excited about the film and looking forward to audience reaction to it.

He said that he hopes to make an impact with his character of Arjun Pathak in the film.

Directed by Ram Madhvani and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Dhamaka features Kartik Aaryan as prime time anchor Arjun Pathak who becomes a radio jockey.

Dhamaka stars Mrunal Thakur as Arjun Pathak's wife. It also  features Amrita Subhash,  Vikas Kumar and Vishwajeet Pradhan in important roles.

Dhamaka, which is an official remake of the South Korean film The Terror Live, was announced on the birthday of Karthik Aryan in November last year.
