Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai holds special place in my heart; Mohsin Khan says as he bids adieu to the show

The favourite jodi of television Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi, known for their on screen pairing of Kartik and Naira in Indian television's long running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai , bids adieu to the show after entertaining viewers with their performances and dazzling audiences with their sparkling chemistry  .

Ahead of the telecast of his last episode from the show, which is being aired on Star Plus, Mohsin Khan said that the show holds a special place in his heart and that he will cherish for life the love showered on his character and his pairing with Shivangi Joshi.

Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi will be exiting the show following a massive leap which will witness old characters making their exit and new characters making their entry on the programme.

For Mohsin, who shot for his last episode of the show earlier this week, quitting the show is an emotional moment.

In an Instagram post,  Mohsin Khan reminisced sweet memories of his association with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,  the longest-running show on Indian television.

He said that shooting for the last few episodes of the show has been a roller coaster ride for him as he is deeply attached to the show.

“Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been a very good experience and as they say all good things come to an end. This show holds a special place in my heart. Off late, these days have been an emotional roller-coaster ride for me as I am very much attached to my on-screen character ‘Kartik’.

I will miss essaying the role and also miss hanging out with my team on a daily basis. The cast has turned into my family and I wish each one of them the best. I am thankful to Star Plus, Rajan Shahi Sir, and especially our audience for loving us so much. I will cherish all these moments for life. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and viewers, thank you for the memories! Heartiest Gratitude!,'he said.

As the two actors bid adieu to the show,  the producer of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Rajan Shahi penned an emotional note.

Sharing some pictures with Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi,  Rajan Shahi said that Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi symbolise what an on screen jodi can achieve together.

Every moment and minute spent with them is fresh in my mind- our first meeting,  the day you were signed,  our first outdoor,  the first scene.  The Nervousness excitement which carried foward each day, the achievement the awards.

The desire to give our best through  the toughest schedules,  trying times made easy with enthusiasm positivity synergy together. Rajan Shahi said that his bond with Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi was beyond a show, character or jodi.

'This Rishta will remain. We will not say goodbye or thank u to each other or say farewell as the journey has just started together.,'he said.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been the longest running show on Indian American.  It completed 12 years in January this year.
