Spy thriller Dhaakad to release in cinemas on April 8 next year

After impressing audiences with her performance in the multilingual film Thalaivii,  Kangana Ranaut will be seen in the role of a female superhero in the spy thriller Dhaakad, which releases in cinemas on April 8 next year.

Directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai and produced by Deepak Mjkut and Sohail Maklai, Dhaakad stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead with Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta featuring in pivotal roles.

Sharing the release date of Dhaakad with fans, Divya Dutta said, 'bringing to you India’s first female-led international spy-thriller that will have you hanging by the edge of your seat! Brace yourself for the #Dhaakad spectacle, hitting theaters on 08.04.2022! #KanganaRanaut .'

Arjun Rampal plays the villain in Dhaakad 



Dhaakad will feature Arjun Rampal as the villain.

The actor will play Rudraveer, the evil nemesis of the female spy played by Kangana Ranaut in the high octane thriller. 

Arjun Rampal had a few months ago shared with fans the first look of his character in the film.

Kangana Ranaut plays the lead role of Agent Agni in the film. 

Kangana has said that the film, touted as India’s first female led high octane spy thriller , will mark the beginning of a new era for Indian cinema. 

The film has been mounted on a grand scale. The makers have also roped in Tetsuo Nagata, an award winning cinematographer who has worked in major Hollywood action flicks.

 Dhaakad earlier scheduled to release on Gandhi Jayanti. However,  the release of the film has now been postponed to April 8 next year.
