Sooryavanshi gets Censor Certificate of UA with running time of 145 minutes

Countdown has begun for the release of Akshay Kumar Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi with the film being cleared by the Censor Board with a UA Certificate, trade sources said.

The film will have a running length of 145 minutes.

An action thriller directed by Rohit Shetty,  Sooryavanshi stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles with Ranveer Singh featured in a pivotal role.

The film is also being produced by Rohit Shetty in association with Cape Of Good Films of Akshay Kumar.

Sooryavanshi is scheduled to release in cinemas this Diwali.



Sooryavanshi gets a Censor Certificate 





The promotions for the film are set to begin on October 21 with release of its first song Alla Re Alla.

The song features Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh.

Sooryavanshi,  which will release a day after Diwali,  will have a grand release with the film scheduled to open on more than 3000 cinema screens across the country.

The makers are also planning a huge marketing campaign.  As part of the campaign,  the stars of Sooryavanshi will convey to the audience that it is safe for them to watch the film on the big screen.

Infact, In a video released earlier this week,Akshay, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh said that after a 'brief interval' caused by the Covid-19 pandemic,  it was time to enjoy the magic of the movies on the big screen.

With the release of Sooryavanshi to be followed by several mega starrers and blockbusters, the film industry as well as exhibitors are hoping that it will be back to cinema halls for the audiences.

Directed by Rohit Shetty,  Sooryavanshi has witnessed several postponements over the last year and a half due to Covid.

The film, had earlier been scheduled for a theatrical release on April 30 but the makers postponed it due to the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

An unprecedented surge in covid cases in the country in April had  resulted in makers of mega starrers Haathi Mere Saathi, Bunty Aur Babli2, Chehre, Sooryavanshi , Satyamev Jayate 2 and Toofan postponing release of these films till a later date.

The release of Sooryavanshi will be followed by release of several mega starrers like Bunty Aur Babli2,  83, Shamshera, Bachchan Pandey,  Heropanti 2, Ek Villain Returns, Laal Singh Chaddha,  Prithviraj,  KGF 2 and RRR.
