KGF2 (Hindi) crosses Rs 250 cr in 7 days,  first Hindi film to cross the milestone in opening week

Continuing with its historic run at the box office,  KGF Chapter 2( Hindi version) reached the  Rs 250 cr mark in just seven days of its release,  becoming the first Hindi film to achieve this milestone in arts opening week.

KGF2(Hindi) ,  which released to over 5000 cinema screens across India on April 15, earned Rs 16 cr on Wednesday,  taking its seven day collections to Rs 250 cr.

KGF chapter 2 has become the first Hindi film to reach the figure of Rs 250 cr in a week.

The film, which  had its theatrical release in Kannada along with the dubbed versions of  Telugu,  Hindi,  Tamil  and  Malayalam languages,  released on a huge scale,  on over 10000 cinemas worldwide.

KGF2 took an unprecedented opening at box office,  earning Rs 53 cr on its opening day.

A sequel to the 2018 film KGF Chapter 1, KGF2 stars South Indian superstar Yash in the lead role and Sanjay Dutt,  Srinidhi Shetty and Raveena Tandon in key  roles.

While featuring Yash in the  main lead, the film also features Sanjay Dutt as antagonist. The film will alwo feature Raveena Tandon in an important role. 

Sanjay Dutt assays the antagonist Adheera, while Yash plays Rocky Bhai. Raveena Tandon will be seen as Prime Minister Ramika Sen.

The KGF chapter 2  continues where KGF chapter 1 ended. The makers have increased the budget of KGF chapter 2 to match the expectations of the audeince. 

The film, directed by Prashant Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, was initially scheduled for theatrical release in January this year. However,  the release of the film had to be postponed due to the third wave of COVID-19.
