RRR (Hindi) earns Rs 229 cr at end of its third weekend,  fast approaching the Rs 250 cr mark

The Hindi version of the multilingual action thriller RRR continued its strong run at the box office in its third week with earnings of Rs 23.5 cr in its third weekend.

The earnings of the film at the end of its third weekend are Rs 229 cr.

With the film still drawing crowds to the theatres,  the collections could near the Rs 250 cr mark by the end of the third week.

The film is also on course of becoming highest grossing Hindi film post the Covid pandemic,  crossing the box office figures of The Kashmir Files.

Earlier this week,  RRR(all versions) crossed the milestone of Rs 1000 cr at the box office Worldwide,  making it the third highest Indian grosser worldwide after Baahubali 2 and Dangal.

Directed by SS Rajamouli (of Baahubali fame), RRR is a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Junior NTR ), who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively.

Made in Telugu, Hindi and other South Indian languages, RRR   produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments., stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris.

The film,  which was postponed several times due to production delays and due to the Covid-19 pandemic,  has created tremendous buzz due to it being helmed by S S Rajamouli, the presence of Junior NTR,  Ram Charan and Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn and due to its grand production values.

RRR opened to positive reviews .
