KGF2  takes an extraordinary opening at box office earns Rs 134.5 cr on opening day in India

Living up to its tremendous hype,  the multilingual action thriller KGF2 took an extraordinary start at the box office,  earning Rs 134.5 cr on its opening day across India.

The film (all language versions) had a record opening at box office.  The opening day gross collection of Rs 134.5 cf included Rs 53 cr for the Hindi version of the film.

KGF2,  which released on over 7000 cinema screens across India,  recorded collections of 75 per cent to 85 per cent in various parts of India.

With unprecedented crowds thronging to the theatres to watch the film, Kgf chapter 2 is heading for an opening weekend of over Rs 500 cr from across India.

The film has witnessed huge levels of advance bookings preceding its release.

A sequel to the 2018 film KGF Chapter 1, KGF2 , which will  have will have theatrical release in Kannada along with the dubbed versions of  Telugu,  Hindi,  Tamil  and  Malayalam languages, is releasing on a huge scale,  scheduled to be screened on over 10000 cinemas worldwide.

While starring South Indian superstar Yash in the lead role,  KGF2 stars   Sanjay Dutt,  Srinidhi Shetty and Raveena Tandon in key  roles.

While featuring Yash in the  main lead, the film also features Sanjay Dutt as antagonist. The film will alwo feature Raveena Tandon in an important role. 

Sanjay Dutt assays the antagonist Adheera, while Yash plays Rocky Bhai. Raveena Tandon will be seen as Prime Minister Ramika Sen.

The KGF chapter 2 will continue where KGF chapter 1 ended. The makers have increased the budget of KGF chapter 2 to match the expectations of the audeince. 

The film, directed by Prashant Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, was initially scheduled for theatrical release in January this year. However,  the release of the film had to be postponed due to the third wave of COVID-19.
