On World Earth Day, &TV artists share significance of protecting environment

On the occasion of World Earth Day ,  celebrated every year on the April 22 across the country to spread awareness about the importance of restoring nature and building a healthy planet for the future, artists  from various &TV shows talked about ways to protect our planet.

While Vidisha Srivastava,  who assays Anita Bhabi in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai,  stressed on importance of planting a tree as an investment for Earth's natural future, Mouli Ganguly, who plays Mahasati Anusuya in mythological show Baal Shiv,  stressed on need to preserve water to protect the environment.

Farhana Fatema,  who essays Shanti Mishra in Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai,  talked about the danger caused to environment by use of plastic waste while Kamna Pathak, who assays the role of Rajesh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan,  stressed the need for lifestyle changes to preserve the environment.

Talking about the need for planting a tree as an investment for Earth's natural future, Vidisha Srivastava, seen as Anita Bhabi from &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, said, 'trees are natural air filters and carbon adsorbents. To celebrate World Earth Day, it is imperative to plant a tree as an investment for our earth's natural future. We are all aware that the world is facing numerous environmental crises, with one of the key factors behind increasing temperatures being lack of green cover. We must invest in our planet every day by planting trees and nurturing them because changing the way we live today will allow us to prosper tomorrow. To solve a multitude of environmental challenges, I encourage people to plant more trees.”


Mouli Ganguly, seen as Mahasati Anusuya from &TV’s Baal Shiv,talked about  the  need to  preserve  water.

" Conservation of natural resources is extremely essential to protect the environment. I believe small measures can lead to a greater impact and therefore, I save water by doing things like cold-washing clothes in the machine, showering instead of bathing, and air-drying dishes rather than using the dishwasher. In addition, I water my indoor plants using the same water that I use to wash vegetables and fruit. On this day, I would like to appeal to all my fans to save water and save livesm'Mouli Ganguly said.

Talking about plastic waste posing a danger to the environment, Farhana Fatema said,'Change in human attitude is vital to safeguard our nature. Most of us know the environmental hazards caused by plastic wastes but it is high time we eradicate plastic pollution. Regardless of where I am, I make sure that no unnecessary plastic waste or other environmentally harmful waste is generated by me. I wish people start taking extra care of our nature for a beautiful and healthy environment.”

Kamna Pathak, who assays Rajesh from &TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, stressed the need to bring lifestyle changes to preserve the environment.

“One must volunteer simple lifestyle changes to protect the environment and increase awareness. I urge people to regularly reuse and recycle to conserve natural resources, refrain from using plastic and use reusable bags, participate in cleanup drives, etc, as what we do today to protect the nature shall give us the environment we aspire to live in,'she said.


World Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year.
