Salaam Venky premieres on Zee5 on February 10

After earning  critical acclaim for its moving story of  a mother who does everything she can to let her son, diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, live life to the fullest, Salaam Venky  is set to premiere on OTT this week.

Salaam Venky,  directed by Revathi and featuring Kajol and Vishal Jethwa in lead roles,  is set to premiere on Zee5 on February 10.

Produced by Suraj Singh and Shraddha Aggarwal under their banners Blive Productions and RTake Studios respectively, Salaam Venky is a slice of life drama which tells the story of a mother who does everything she can to let her son, diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, live life to the fullest.

Based on the book The Last Hurrah  by Srikant Murthy, Salaam Venky, which was earlier titled The Last Hurrah  is inspired by a true story of a mother Sujata who battled with a smile the most challenging situations  due to her son being diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Salaam Venky stars Aamir Khan in a special appearance. 

The film, which released in cinemas on December 9 last year,  won applause from  audiences and acclaim from critics for the performances by Kajol and Vishal Jethwa.
