PS2 starcast visit Delhi amid huge buzz for the film


The period action drama releases in cinemas on April 28

Amid a huge buzz for Ponniyin Selvan 2, the second season of the period action drama Ponnitin Selvan which revolves around the power play and treacheries in the Chola kingdom of ancient India,  the star cast of the magnum opus visited the capital city of Delhi on a promotional visit.

After the euphoric response to Ponniyin Selvan,  which released last year,  there is huge anticipation for the film among cinelovers for its second edition,  which releases in cinemas on April 28.

The film stars some of the biggest superstars of the film Industry comprising Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Chiyaan Vikram, Sobhita Dhulipala, Karthi and Jayam Ravi. 

After a promotional visit to Chennai and Coimbatore, the star cast of the period action adventure visited Delhi on Tuesday for the promotion of the film.

In Delhi, the starcast visited a college and had a fun interaction with their young fans followed by a press conference. 

The makers of PS2 have launched 8 songs from the film on audio streaming platforms.

Out of these, four  lyrical videos of the songs are already out and have left the music lovers going gaga over the music album, raising their anticipation levels  to watch the larger than life, historical drama.

Mani Ratnam's magnum opus is first Tamil film to release in 4DX .

Ponniyin Selvan 2, based on the 1955 book by Kalki Krishnamurthy titled Ponniyin Selvan, will also release in IMAX.

Ponniyin Selvan  2 will see Arulmozhi Varman continue on his journey to become Rajaraja I, the greatest ruler of the historic Chola empire of south India.

Jointly Produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, Ponniyin Selvan 2, directed by Mani Ratnam, with Music Composed by AR Rahman.  is slated for a worldwide release on 28th April 2023, in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The film features Jayam Ravi in the role of Arulmozhivarman, while Vikram, Karthi, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai are seen in other important roles.
