Continuing the trend of thrillers entertaining on the big screen and OTT,  psychological thriller Chipkali,  that questions our  limited understanding of the world and misconceptions about life,  releases in theatres  on April 14.

Starring veteran actor Yashpal Sharma in the lead role, Chipkali is a story that questions our limited understanding of the world, our misconceptions about life, derived only from what we directly witness.

It highlights our incapability to look beyond the stereotyped realism.

Psychological thriller Chipkali releases in cinemas on April 14

Based on the book Chhayajapon written by writer Vinod Ghosal, Chipkali is a film that shows that people are not ready to look beyond their stereotyped notions. They are also incapable of challenging their conscious mindset and outlooks.

Besides Yashpal Sharma, Chipkali also features Tannishtha Biswas and Yogesh Bhardwaj in pivotal roles.

Produced by Meemo and Sarvesh Kashyap,  Chipkali has been directed by Kaushik Kar.

Addressing a press conference in the capital city, the director Kaushik Kar said that though the movie is an adaptation of the drama and book written by Vinod Ghosal, it's treatment is different from both.

“The movie is a adaptation of drama and a book written earlier but is very different from both. I am sure audience will like our adaptation of the concept and give their love to the movie,'Kaushik Kar said.

Addressing reporters, the lead actress Tannishtha Biswas said that sharing screen space with a veteran actor like Yashpal Sharma is a privilege.

, “I feel blessed to work with Yashpal sir as he is such an experienced and amazing actor. We have put all our hard work in the movie as we were doing workshop in the same house where we have shot since 25 days. I hope audiences like our efforts,'she said.

It is a film that shows that people are not ready to look beyond their stereotyped notions. They are also incapable of challenging their conscious mindset and outlooks.

Through a very interesting interrogative session between a detective and a suspect in a murder case, the film  focuses on an unexplored dimension of time that surpass our conscious mind.

Tannishtha Biswas was earlier seen in the film Kalkokkho, a suspenseful allegory about the times during the Covid pandemic. The film released in 2021.

Yogesh Bharadwaj,  who plays a detective in this psychological thriller,  was earlier seen in the film Lost, released on OTT earlier in the year.
