Based on the book Chhayajapon written by writer Vinod Ghosal, Chipkali is a film that shows that people are not ready to look beyond their stereotyped notions. They are also incapable of challenging their conscious mindset and outlooks.
Besides Yashpal Sharma, Chipkali also features Tannishtha Biswas and Yogesh Bhardwaj in pivotal roles.
Produced by Meemo and Sarvesh Kashyap, Chipkali has been directed by Kaushik Kar.
Addressing a press conference in the capital city, the director Kaushik Kar said that though the movie is an adaptation of the drama and book written by Vinod Ghosal, it's treatment is different from both.
“The movie is a adaptation of drama and a book written earlier but is very different from both. I am sure audience will like our adaptation of the concept and give their love to the movie,'Kaushik Kar said.
Addressing reporters, the lead actress Tannishtha Biswas said that sharing screen space with a veteran actor like Yashpal Sharma is a privilege.
, “I feel blessed to work with Yashpal sir as he is such an experienced and amazing actor. We have put all our hard work in the movie as we were doing workshop in the same house where we have shot since 25 days. I hope audiences like our efforts,'she said.
