Action thriller series Commando to enter OTT space, premieres on Disney Hotstar Aug 11

After entertaining viewers on the big screen,  the action thriller series Commando  is ready to make a splash on the digital space .

After tasting success with the theatrical version of the action thriller series,  Vipul Amritlal Shah is set to bring the series on Disney Hotstar with its premiere on the OTT platform on August 11.

The digital version of the series will star newcomer Prem in the lead and The Kerala story actress Adah Sharma in a key role.

Produced and directed by Vipul Amritlal Shah,  Commando takes the movie franchise forward on the digital screen.

Commando traces the journey of Commando Virat(Prem), who is caught between a nefarious plan and a bio war, as he devises a plan to protect his nation and his brother Commando.

Vipul Shah, who is the creator,  producer and director of the show,  is excited about bringing to the audience the digital version of Commando.

''Commandoes are the real heroes of our nation and it is always a pleasure and Honour to bring their heroism on the screen,'he said.

On choosing Prem for the digital version of the action thriller series,  he said, 'introducing Prem has been an amazing journey.  The hunger that he has to do the best keeps us all on our toes. He is not only great in action but also in romance and emotion. ''

On his part, Prem is thrilled to work under the direction of Vipul Amritlal Shah.

'Working in Commando under the direction of Vipul Amritlal Shah is a dream come true for me. I have been passionate about becoming an actor since I was  an 11 year old. In this sense,  bagging Commando has been a monumental milestone for me,'he said.

On the praise for his work by Vipul Shah,  Prem said, 'earning the trust of Vipul Shah has been an achievement in itself.  I sincerely hope that the audiences resonate with my portrayal and embrace me as their new Commando. ''

Commando also stars Adah Sharma,  Shreya Singh Chaudhry, amiþ Sial, Mukesh Chhabra and Vaibhav Tatwawadi in pivotal roles.

The series has been produced by Sunshine Pictures Pvt Ltd.

Commando is a popular action thriller movie franchise which stars Vidyut Jammwal in the lead role.

The first film in the series Commando: A one Man Army, was released in cinemas in 2013. The second and third edition of the series Commando 2 and Commando 3 were released in 2017 and 2019 respectively.
