Shriyam Bhagnani gets praise from Sachin Pilgaonkar for City of Dreams 2

As Shriyam Bhagnani  basks in  the amazing feedback she is receiving for her character Tanya Mehta in Nagesh Kukunoor's City of Dreams Season 2, another shot in the arm for the actress has come in the form of praise from veteran actor Sachin Pilgaonkar.

During a chat session with the cast of City of Dreams 2,  hosted by an extremely popular Clubhouse channel called the FilmClub India ,Sachin Pilgaonkar was all praise for the character played by Shriyam Bhagnani in the show.

When asked as to which other role would he have enjoyed playing if not for his own, Sachin Pilgaonkar said,  "Every character is so well written in the show, I really like the way every actor has added their own flavour and made the characters so believable. But if I had to play one character apart from Gurav, it would have been Shriyam aka Tanya's character. She is a very ambitious, strong and fierce girl and has dimensions to her personality which really made Tanya stand out. The way she played Tanya was beautiful, especially with such an ensemble cast and I really wish her good luck for her future. "

Shriyam,  who is also ghe head curator of the channel, is heartened by the praise coming her way from the veteran actor.

"For me as an actor, nothing could have been a bigger compliment than Sachin sir saying that about my character and performance. The only goal for me is to work more and to learn more and I am really thankful and overwhelmed with the kind of love my character Tanya has received. It was an amazing experience to have worked with such a huge and talented ensemble cast. I am on the 9th cloud and will prefer to stay there a bit longer and enjoy every bit of it. Shriyam has been basking in the glory of  the excellent feedback that has come her way for her portrayal of character of Tanya Mehta in City of Dreams Season 2.

The web series has Shriyam paired opposite Ankur Rathee.

While Ankur  plays the role of Arvind, the money minding owner of the company Mynk Infra who indulges in manipulation to secure the metro contract in Mumbai,   Shriyam  plays his prospective bride Tanya, who believes in following a path diametrically opposite to that followed by Arvind. 

While Atul Kulkarni and Priya Bapat have been getting rave reviews for their performances as Amey Rao Gaikwad and Poornima Gaikwad,  Ankur and Shriyam too have got plaudits from critics for their performance in the web series.

Further,  the fresh pairing of Ankur Rathee and Shriyam Bhagnani has attracted attention .

Shriyam has previously worked in films like Baaghi 2 and Batti Gul Meter Chalu and her current series City of Dreams 2 starring Atul Kulkarni, Sachin Pilagaonkar, Priya Bapat, Ejaiz Khan and Ankur Rathee is streaming on Disney+Hotstar
