“It feels like we started the show yesterday. And here, we are celebrating 200 episodes already! I take immense pride to say that I am a part of such a beautiful show which brings together friends and family for a good laugh.

People recognise me as Shanti and being an actor everywhere I go; that’s my biggest achievement,'Farhana Fatema said.

Directed by Imtiaz Punjabi,  Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai  is a situational comedy revolving around two culturally opposite families forced to share a roof.

Set against the backdrop of Lucknow, the show is a situational comedy, which ensues when two culturally opposite families are forced to share a roof, manoeuvre day-to-day concerns of small-town-living and highly competitive wives.

The show captures the long-standing Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb of Lucknow through the two families – the Mishras and the Mirzas, cohabiting in an old nawabi haweli.

Farhana said that the authentic Lucknowi vibe brought out by the show and  the friendly bickering between the Mishra and Mirza families makes Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai contributes to its popularity .

Also, the friendly bickering between Mishra and Mirza reminds everyone about their real-life bond with their neighbours making it more relatable,'Farhana said.

Each family wishing to own the haveli and not share it with the other causes constant bickering and amusing scuffles around everyday issues and incidents which lends a comic element to Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai.
