Anupama-Namaste America,  a prequel to the popular television show Anupama,  being streamed on Disney Hotstar,  will reveal how Anupama’s spectacular dance performance helps her take her first step towards fulfilling her BIG dream of going to America to learn the art of dance.

Upcoming episodes of Hotstar Specials Anupama - Namaste America, produced by Rajan Shahi and Ishika Shahi under their production banner iShahi Entertainment, will see  Anupama presenting a jaw-dropping classical performance that leaves everyone in awe .

 While Vanraj’s supervisor’s wife can’t stop praising Anupama, she bestows her with an opportunity that leaves Anupama speechless.

Going to America to learn the art of dance has been her dream, and watching it come true in the most unexpected way puts Anupama on cloud nine. Vanraj, who was noticing things from afar, is left with no choice and has to agree to this opportunity.

It will be interesting to see whether the opportunity coming the way of Anupama will put an end to Vanraj’s plan to assign Anupama the responsibility of taking care of the children.  Will Anupama finally go to her city of dreams?


Anupama Namaste America streaming on Disney Hotstar 



A 11 episode prequel to the popular television series Anupama, Anupama-Namaste America began streaming on Disney Hotstar on April 25

. Celebrating the spirit and resilience of women, the new series, Hotstar Specials presents Anupama – Namaste America, created exclusively for the streaming platform,  offers viewers a closer look at Anupamaa’s life a few years into her marriage.

The 11-episode prelude to the television series will see Rupali Ganguly, who plays the lead character on television, reprise her popular role along with Sudhanshu Pandey, who plays her husband, Vanraj Shah. The two will be seen recreating their bittersweet chemistry in the prequel..

Anupamaa launched in July 2020 for television, is a running series that has already aired over 500 episodes that are available on both Star Plus and Disney+ Hotstar.

However, the episodes of the prequel, released over 11 days, will remain exclusively on the platform and not be aired on television.

The original cast of the television has been retained for the prequel and will see  Sudhanshu Pandey as Anupama’s husband Vanraj along with Alpana Buch, Arvind Vaidya, Paras Kalnwat, Ashish Mehrotra and Ekta Sariya reprising the roles of Baa, Bapuji, Samar, Toshi and Dolly respectively.

Hotstar Specials presents Anupama- Namaste America will also introduce a brand-new character from Anupamaa’s early years, Moti Baa played by veteran television actor Sarita Joshi. This special character will play a pivotal role in forming Anupamaa’s early life as an aspiring dancer.
