80s actress Mandakini returns to arclights with music video Maa o Maa, makers release first look poster

She stormed the Hindi film scene in the 80s with the Raj Kapoor classic and among his biggest blockbusters Ram Teri Ganga Maili.

Over three decades after she enthralled audiences with her seamless combination of sensuality and simplicity in Ram Teri Ganga Maili,  80s actress Mandakini is all set to make a comeback to the arclights with the music video titled Maa O Maa.



Yesteryear actress Mandakini returns to arclights with music video Maa o Maa 


Directed by Sajan Agarwal and Produced by Kailash Raigar Guru ji under the banner of Filmy Clap Production house , Maa O Maa features Mandakini along with her son Rabbil and actress Babita Banerjee.  Also featured in the music video are child Artist Simran and Chirag.

Makers of the music video earlier in the week released its first look poster .

Lyrics of the song have been penned by Sajan Agarwal and music composed by Babli Haque and Meera. The song has been sung by Rishabh Giri. 

Mandakini shared Maa O Maa Poster on her social media handle .

'I would love to know your feedback on the poster, 'Mandakini wrote on her social media handle.

Speaking about the music video,  Director Sajan Agarwal said, "I'm very happy Mandakini ji is making her Bollywood comeback through my video Ma O Maa. Now people appreciate the poster. Working with her is like a dream come true. I would like to thank my DOP Gifty Mehra, Editor Irfaan Shaikh and choreographer Ritchie  Burton. '

Mandakini stormed the Hindi film scene in the 1985 Raj Kapoor classic Ram Teri Ganga Maili which also marked the Bollywood debut of Raj Kapoor's youngest son Rajiv Kapoor.

Mandakini attracted notice for her performance in the film and her bold scenes in it. The film was a blockbuster and is among the most successful films ofRaj Kapoor.

Ram Teri Ganga Maili earned Mandakini a Filmfare nomination as Best Actress.

After Ram Teri  Ganga  Maili,  Mandakini acted in a few more successful films, such as Dance Dance with Mithun Chakraborty, Kahan Hai Kanoon with Aditya Pancholi, Jeeva with  Sanjay Dutt and Pyaar Karke Dekho with Govinda, but could not recreate the success of her first movie. The actress  bid adieu to  Bollywood after her 1996 film Zordaar.
