She is currently grabbing attention for her portrayal of middle class girl Radhika Yadav in Sapno Ki Chhalaang,  the new show on Sony Entertainment Television which takes viewers through the journey of a small town girl as she migrates from her home in Jhansi to the big city of Mumbai in pursuit of her dreams.

Megha Ray, who has established a niche for herself on television with shows like Rang Jaun Tere Rang Mein,  Apna Time Bhi Aayega and Dil Yeh Ziddi Hai,  is extremely excited about her new show Sapno Ki Chhalaang,  which is being telecast on Sony Entertainment Television from April 10 Monday to Friday.

'Sapno Ki Chhalaang is about the journey of a girl in pursuit of her dreams in Life.  I play Radhika Yadav,  a simple girl hailing from a joint family in jhansi.  Radhika's dream is to get the job of an engineer in a big company in Mumbai.

The show is about the big leap (Challaang) she undertakes from jhansi to the city of dreams Mumbai to realise her dreams, 'Megha Ray said in a chat.

From the moment Megha heard the story,  she was hooked on to it.

'I am extremely excited to be a part of this show. It is a great story.  I am grateful to the makers for coming up with this brilliant concept.  I feel privileged to be a part of this show,''the actor said.

Megha Ray said that shows like Sapno ki Challaang are breaking stereotypes with their unique concepts.

'Sapno Ki Chhalaang is a first of its kind show on Indian television.  I feel that with such shows, Sony Entertainment Television is breaking stereotypes on Indian television, 'she said.

Megha said that playing the character of Radhika Yadav was quite challenging for  her.

'Being a girl based in Mumbai,  I have never experienced the struggle undergone by Radhika Yadav as she migrates from small town jhansi to a big City like Mumbai in pursuit of her dreams.

In this sense,  playing Radhika was challenging. As part of my presentation for the role,  I had to study in depth the various difficulties experienced by a small town girl while coming to terms with life in Mumbai, 'Megha Ray sa.

Asked whether the show gives a message to viewers,  Megha said, 'the show gives across a pertinent message to people that girls today are as capable as boys and that their families should allow them to fulfill their dreams.'

A known face on Indian television,  Megha Ray has established a niche for herself on television with shows like Rang Jaun Tere Rang Mein , Apna Time Bhi Aayega  and Dil Yeh Ziddi Hai .

Starring Megha Ray in the lead role,  Sapno Ki Chhalaang traces the  journey of Radhika Yadav, a small-town girl from Jhansi, who takes a leap of faith and moves to  Mumbai to fulfil her dreams .

It is the story of Radhika bracing herself to face the challenges of living in an altogether different world of Mumbai.

A new city, new lifestyle, new roommates, new job and a boss who is hard to impress - How will Radhika overcome all these hurdles?

Produced by Herumb Khot and Nilanjana Purkayasstha under the  banner of Invictus T Mediaworks , Sapno Ki Chhalaang stars Megha Roy in the lead role of Radhika.  It also features Alma Hussain iand Benaf Dadahandji in pivotal roles.

  Sapno Ki Chhalaang is another in the line of shows with a realistic backdrop being telecast on Sony Entertainment Television.

Airing of Sapno Ki Chhalaang comes closely after the success of Katha Ankahee,  a show about the struggle of a Woman to ensure survival of her son, who is suffering from life threatening disease.
