Salman meets Tokyo Olympics Silver medalist Mirabai Chanu;wrestler says meeting the star dream come true

In a 'fangirl' moment for Tokyo Olympic Silver medalist Mirabai Chanu,  Bollywood superstar Salman Khan today met the wrestler Mirabai Chanu and felicitated her on her performance at the sporting event.

Sharing a picture of himself with Mirabai Chanu, Salman Khan said, 'Happy for u silver medalist Mirabai Chanu. .. Lovely meeting with u … Best wishes always!''

An ecstatic Mirabai Chanu said that meeting Salman Khan was a dream come true for her.

"Thank you so much Salman Khan Sir. I am a big fan of you and it was like a dream come true for me,"Mirabai Chanu said in response to Salman Khan 's tweet.

Mirabai Chanu won the  silver medal in the women's 49 kg category at the Tokyo Olympics.

She was the first Indian to win a medal at the sporting event.

Mirabai Chanu lifted 202kg (87kg+115kg) in total to take home the silver medal .

Indian sportspersons have come out with an outstanding performance at ghd ongoing Tokyo Olympics,  having bagged seven medals,  including a Gold medal bg Javellin thrower Neeraj Chopra.

Mirabai Chanu had earlier been felicitated by Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

Salman Khan was last seen in the action thriller Radhe,  which was released on multiple platforms during Eid this year amid the second wave of COVID-19.

In the coming days,  he will be seen in the film Antim The Final truth  alongside Ayush Sharma,  the husband of Salman 's sister Arpita Khan Sharma.

He will also be histing ghe 15th edition of the Bigg Boss reality show on Colors soon.

Later this year, the superstar is slated to shoot for Tiger 3, the third film in the Tiger Franchise of Yashraj films.

He and Katrina Kaif will reprise their roles from Ek tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, the earlier two film of the franchise.
