Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah to share screen space in Jalsa

After impressing cinelovers with her performance as a fearless forest officer in Sherni, Vidya Balan will be seen in an upcoming film Jalsa, to be helmed by Tumhari Sulu director Suresh Triveni.

Vidya Balan will share screen space in the film with actress Shefali Shah.

Sharing the announcement with her fans,  Vidya Balan said, 'Beyond excited to reunite with Suresh Triveni and to team-up with the brilliant Shefali Shah  to create something special! 2022 mein #Jalsa hoga! #Jalsa Begins Filming  @TSeries @vikramix @Abundantia_Ent @ShikhaaSharma03 #BhushanKumar #KrishanKumar #PrajwalChandrashekar .'

The shooting for the film, which is being jointly produced by Suresh Triveni  along with Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T seriesm with Vikram Malhotra, commenced yesterday.

Jalsa is scheduled to hit cinemas in 2022.



Vidya Balan to share screen space with Shefali Shah in upcoming film Jalsa 



This is the first time that Vidya Balan will be seen sharing screen space with Shefali Shah

Jalsa also stars Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Gurpal Singh and Surya Kasibhatla in prominent roles.  It will also feature Manav Kaul in a special appearance.

Jalsa has been written by Prajwal Chandrashekar and Suresh Triveni.

Vidya Balan was last seen in Sherni,  streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

The film, which featured Vidya Balan in the role of a forest officer,  won a lot of critical appreciation for Vidya Balan for her performance.
