As she completes two decades in the film industry, Bollywood actor Bipasha Basu went down memory lane to reminisce fond memories of her debut film Ajnabee .
Feeling nostalgic on 20 years of release of Ajnabee, Bipasha Basu said that Ajnabee will always be a special film for her.
She said that her journey in Bollywood since Ajnabee has been a beautiful one.
Sharing some stills from Ajnabee, Bipasha Basu said, 'this is the first day welcomed me into their hearts. 20 years ago, my first film Ajnabee released on September 21, 2001. It doesn’t seem like so much time has passed , as the love that I get from my fans, well wishers, the film fraternity and the media is still so strong. I am grateful for this forever..'
'Ajnabee will be a spl film for me forever. I am thankful to my directors Abbas Bhai and mastan Bhai.. my producer Vijay Gilani, Co stars Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol and Kareena Kapoor. It's been a beautiful journey from then till now. , I am truly blessed,'Bipasha Basu said.
On the occasion, Bipasha also posted a video from her first dance number Mehbooba Mehbooba for Ajnabee.
The directors Abbas Mustan also went down memory lane on the occasion.

A mystery thriller directed by Abbas-Mustan and produced by Vijay Galani, Ajnabee starred Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Bipasha Basu in the lead, with Johnny Lever, Dalip Tahil, Narendra Bedi and Sharat Saxena in supporting roles.
The film is an adaptation of the 1992 American thriller Consenting Adults, directed by Alan J. Pakula.
It was the second film of Akshay Kumar and Abbas-Mustan after Khiladi and the second film of Bobby Deol and Abbas-Mustan after Soldier.
The film had an average run at the box office. However, the performance of Akshay Kumar and Bipasha Basu in the film was praised .
Akshay Kumar won the award for Best villain while Bipasha Basu won the award for Best Female debut for the film at the Filmfare Awards.
Bipasha’s career got a boost with Ajnabee with its release followed by several successful films like Raaz, Aitbaar, Jism, Corporate, No Entry and Race.
She was last seen in the web series Dangerous on MX Player .
