Directing Factory a realisation of my mother's dream; Faisal Khan

After trying his luck as an actor with films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Madhosh and Mela, Faisal Khan is now turning a director with mystery thriller Factory, which released in theatres across India today.

As Factory,  which also features Faisal  in a key role along with newcomer Roaleey Ryan, releases in cinema halls across India today, the actor director says that by directing the film , he is living the dream of his mother.

In a chat ahead of the release of the film,  Faisal Khan said, 'directing Factory is a realisation of the dream of my mother. She always wanted me to be a director. '

Faisal Khan said that being associated with the making of the film,  right from the scripting stage to its release in the theatres, has been an amazing journey for him. '

Faisal Khan's foray in direction with Factory comes after years of honing his directorial skills as assistant director to Cousin Mansoor Khan and uncle Tahir Hussain in films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and Tum Mere Ho.

Factory features newcomer Roaleey Ryan in the female lead with Raj Kumar Kanojya, Ribbhu Mehra and Sharad Singh featuring in pivotal roles.

 With Factory,  Faisal Khan returns to the arclights after a long hiatus .

'The last few years have been really difficult for me. However,  now I want to return to acting and direction. I am emotionally charged to chart out a course for myself in the film industry. Factory is a first step in this direction, 'he said.

Produced under the banner of M S Films production, Flamingo films and Gauri films, ,  Factory revolves around a psycho killer names Yas who is madly in love with a girl Natasha (Roaleey Ryan) .

In his obsession with Natasha,  Yas goes on a killing spree.

Faisal Khan plays the role of the psycho killer in the film.  Those associated with the making of the film say that Faisal Khan has done a commendable job in the negative role.

Debutante Roaleey Ryan has also evoked praise for her performance in Factory.

Factory has story, screenplay and dialogue by Faisal Khan,  Amit Gupta and Mariyam. The music of the film has been given by Salim Sen.

Factory is the third Hindi film to release in cinemas after the reopening of cinema halls following a dip in Covid cases.

Last two weeks had seen the release of Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom and the Amitabh Bachchan Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre
