D2C brand Plum ropes in millennial sensation Mithila Palkar as brand ambassador

Plum, India’s first 100 per cent vegan and cruelty-free beauty and personal care brand, today announced that it has signed Little Things actress Mithila Palkar as their brand ambassador.
Mithila Palkar, one of the most vivacious and spirited actresses who exemplifies the-girl-next-door image, will appear in key Plum campaigns across digital media. This will be the first time that Plum is getting a brand ambassador on-board.

Recently, the brand also won the Best Vegan Cosmetics award at the PETA India’s Vegan Fashion Awards.

On being the brand’s first ambassador, actress Mithila Palkar said,“I’m really excited to be the face of a brand like Plum that believes in spreading so much goodness around the world. Mithila Palkar, who started her acting career in 2014 with the Marathi language short film Majha Honeymoon, is known for a wide variety of roles that she has portrayed in movies and web series such as, Chopsticks (A Netflix Original film), and Karwaan.
She came into limelight in March 2016 with her version of the "cup song" inspired by Anna Kendrick's cup song from Pitch Perfect. The video featured her performing the popular Marathi song Hi Chal Turu Turu (sung originally by Jaywant Kulkarni) in the cup song style. Mithila's cup song went viral on YouTube with more than 6 million views.
She rose to fame after her roles in popular web series Little Things and Girl in the City. Her performance in Little Things won her the Filmfare award for Best performance in a comedy series in 2020.
She was also seen in the Netflix film Tribhanga, directed by Renuka Shahane and featuring Tanvi Azmi and Kajol.
