Dhaakad to have its World digital premiere on Zee5 on July 1

Nearly a month after its release in cinemas on May 27, the spy thriller Dhaakad is set to have its digital premiere on Zee5 digital platform.

Zee5 today announced the premiere of the film on the platform on July 1.

A spy thriller directed by Razneesh Ghai,  Dhaakad is the story of international female spy Agni(KanganaRanaut) , a special agent with the International Task Force, who is assigned the mission to eliminate an international human and arms trafficker Rudraveer (Arjun Rampal), who is also running a coal mafia.

The film takes  viewers  through the  journey of Agni, Bollywood's first female spy who fights against all the odds and evils to save humanity.

Dhaakad stars Arjun Rampal as the evil nemesis of the female spy Agni.

Besides Kangana Ranaut and Arjun Rampal, Dhaakad also stars Sharib Hashmi and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.

The film boasts of several  state of the art action stunts. Several international action experts were hired for the action sequences in the film.

Kangana Ranaut underwent extensive training of three months to perform the role of the female spy Agni.

Speaking about the digital premiere of Dhaakad,  Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer, Zee5,  said,“we have been consistently curating a diverse portfolio with quality content across genres and are happy to add another action film to the slate as this genre appeals to all. On the premiere of the film on Zee5,  it's Producer Deepak Mukut said, “Dhaakad is a film that’s very close to all of our hearts. Usually, action films are associated with the male actors in our industry, but here we made a film that redefines the action genre for actresses in Indian films and we are really proud of it. We wanted the vibe and feel to be at par with the well-known international action movies and we were successful in achieving that.

Dhaakad is a multi lingual film that was theatrically released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam
