Bhuvan Bam marks his OTT debut with Taaza Khabar

 A roller coaster of emotions, comedy, romance, action and drama awaits viewers as action drama series Taaza Khabar premieres on Disney Hotstar this new year.

A modern-day tale that dismantles the boons and banes of miracles, Taaza Khabar, Produced by Rohit Raj and Bhuvan Bam under the banner BB Ki Vines productions, premieres   Disney Hotstar on January 6, 2023.

Disney Hotstar has released the trailer of the series,  directed by  Himank Gaur and written by the duo Hussain and Abbas Dalal.

Taaza Khabar marks the OTT debut of social media sensation Bhuvan Bam. The  series also stars Shriya Pilgaonkar, Mahesh Manjrekar, JD Chakravarthy, Deven Bhojani, Shilpa Shukla, Prathmesh Parab, Nitya Mathur, and others in pivotal roles. 

Bhuvan Bam will be seen as Vasant Gawde, a disgruntled sanitation worker trying to make it big until he stumbles upon a life-changing miracle. What unspools next is an entertaining and chaotic journey that is filled with surprises that deconstructs life and gives us the answer to the question - can a man indeed be in control of his destiny?

Speaking about the series, celebrated YouTube creator and actor Bhuvan Bam said, “Taaza Khabar is a complete entertainer with elements of action, drama and romance. The show captures the ups and downs of human wishes and wants. This is also my digital debut with Disney+ Hotstar, which is a special feeling in itself and the love I have received for this is unimaginable, especially from my co-stars. 

Everyone on set was an expert at their job but it was a first for me and I'm thankful for all the relationships I cultivated on set. We have worked with all our hearts to bring this story to life and all I can say is viewers can expect anything and everything from this show.”

Speaking about the show, Director Himank Gaur said, “We've all, at some point, wondered what it would be like to have superpowers? Taaza Khabar brings this thought to life and intertwines it with epic one-liners, some relatable emotions and Bhuvan's classic charm. The entire cast has done a great job, grasping their character that brings each emotion alive. This will be exciting for the audience to watch. I am grateful for Disney+ Hotstar providing the series a global platform.”
