Amitabh Bachchan to host 13th edition of KBC on Sony TV from Monday

After entertaining audiences with several seasons of the popular Game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, megastar Amitabh Bachchan will return to host the 13th edition of of the KBC, which kickstarts on Sony Entertainment Television on Monday.
The new edition of the KBC will see some major changes.

KBC 13 will see a change in the format of the Fastest Finger First, which is the first step for contestants to get to the hot seat.
The Fastest Finger First will now be called the Fastest Finger first- TripleTest, wherein the contestants will have to answer three questions. The contestant who answers all the three questions in the shortest possible time will, get to the hot seat.
This edition of the KBC will also see the return of the lifeline Audience Poll.
With the return of the studio audience this season, the contestant will be able to take the opinion of the audience if he or she is unable to answer the question posed to them.
The previous edition of the KBC had done away with the studio audience amid the spread of Covid in the country.
This edition of the KBC will have four lifelines for the contestants, including Audience Poll, 50-50, ask the expert and 'Flip The Question.
Also featured on the KBC will be 'Shandaar Shukravaar' episodes which will feature celebrity guests as contestants.

Ahead of the launch of KBC 13, Amitabh Bachchan said that he is excited and looks forward to hosting the show again. He said that after the absence of a studio audience in the last edition, he was happy that the studio audience is back this season.
"It was probably for the first time, last season, that the studio audience wasn’t a part of the show and we saw a major change in the lifelines as well. I, for one, truly missed them and their energy. It’s infectious.
I am happy that the studio audience is back this season with a newfound vigour and so is the lifeline - 'Audience Poll'. It’s an enriching experience for me, each year, to be surrounded by contestants from all walks of life and I look forward to engaging and fulfilling gameplay. These contestants inspire me in every way.", he said.

An Indian version of the Who Wants to be a millionaire franchise, Kaun Banega Crorepati was aired on Star Plus for its first three seasons from 2000 to 2007.
Since 2010, the Game reality show has been airing on Sony Entertainment Television . The previous edition of the Game reality show did not have a studio audience due to the spread of Covid in the country.
