My beard has proved to be my lucky charm ; Kabir Bedi

Since his entry in Bollywood in the 70s, Bollywood actor Kabir Bedi has grabbed eyeballs for his bearded look in many a film.

The bearded look of the Bollywood actor in films , from Kuchche Dhaage to the  TV series Sandokan to Taj Mahal The Eternal Love Story to the James Bond film Octupassy to Ashutosh Gowarikar's Mohenjodaro, has become a mark of his identity.

The Bollywood actor,  who was recently in news for his Autobiography 'Stories I must Tell ', says that his beard has become his brand image over the years.

Kabir Bedi, who sported a beard for the first time in his first Bollywood hit Kuchche Dhaage,  said that his beard has been his lucky charm.

'I’ve been sporting a beard since the 1970s. After my first Bollywood hit film, Raj Khosla’s “Kuchche Dhaage”, producers asked me to keep my beard.

They said it was lucky for me. And so it proved to be. My beard became my brand image,'he said.

Kabir Bedi was recently in  news for his Autobiography titled Stories I must Tell.

The book contains references to subjects like his son Siddharth's suicide  and his relationship with actress Parveen Babi.
