Shang Chi And The Legend Of Ten Rings,Fast and the Furious 9 continue their strong run at box office

Continuing its strong run at the box office in India,  Shang Chi And The Legend Of Ten Rings earned Rs 3.50 cr from cinemas on its second day on Saturday.

There was a rise in collections of the Hollywood film on Saturday over its earnings on Friday.  The collections of Shang Chi rose from Rs 3 crore on Friday to Rs 3.5 cr on Saturday.

There was a rise in collections of the film in  Delhi and NCR .

The total earnings of the film in two days is Rs 6.50 cr.

The film had taken a rocking start in India on Friday with earnings of Rs 3 crore.

Bulk of the collections of the film on opening day have come from Andhra and Delhi and NCR. Infact,  collections of the film in Delhi and NCR are best for a Hollywood film post the pandemic,  exceeding even earnings of Godzilla Vs Kong.

Trade experts say that the earnings of the film are likely to witness a  further rise on Sunday.

The other Hollywood release of the week,  Fast and the Furious 9 too continued its strong run at the box office.

The film,  which released in theatres across India on Thursday,  earned Rs 1.75 cr on Saturday.

Fast and the Furious 9 had earned Rs 2.0 cr on its opening day and Rs 1.50 cr on its second day.

The three day collections of Fast and the Furious 9 are Rs 5.25 crore.

Fast and the Furious 9 collections saw a rise in Delhi and NCR and Gujarat on Saturday.

The strong showing of the film comes despite its release on OTT.


Fast and the Furious 9 continues its strong run at box office 


The good showing of the Hollywood films comes amid an average run for the Bollywood films Bell Bottom and Chehre, which have had an average run at the box office despite a tremendous buzz surrounding them.

While Bell Bottom recorded collections of Rs 2.75  cr on its opening day,  Chehre earned just Rs 45 lakh on its opening day.

Both Shang Chi And The Legend Of Ten Rings and Fast and the Furious 9 had witnessed heavy rush in advance booking prior to their release.
