Maidaan to release in cinemas on June 3 next year

In a continuation of the announcement of release of Hindi films in cinema halls,  after the decision of the Maharashtra government to reopen theatres from Oct 22, makers of the Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan,  the story of one of India's finest football coaches,  today announced the release of the film in theatres on June 3 next year.

Featuring Ajay Devgn in the title role and starring Priyamani as the female lead,  Maidaan is the untold story of Coach Syed Abdul Rahim, one of India's finest coaches .

Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Maidaan also features Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh in pivotal roles.


Maidaan to release in cinemas on June 3 next year 




Sharing the news of the release of the film,  Ajay Devgn said Maidaan is a film that he feels very strongly about.

''Maidaan, A story that will resonate with every Indian, a film that I feel very strongly about. Mark the date on your calendar. Releasing worldwide on 3rd June, 2022,Ajay Devgn said.

The producer Boney Kapoor also shared the announcement with the fans.

'The unknown true story that will make every Indian proud, ‘Maidaan’, to release worldwide in cinemas on 3rd June, 2022,'Boney Kapoor said.

Releasing in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, Maidaan is the untold story of
Coach Syed Abdul Rahim, one of India's finest coaches .

One of the most awaited films,  Maidaan features several foreign footballers in its cast.

Ajay Devgn was last seen in Bhuj The Pride of India,  where he played the role of an IAF officer who gets the runway of the Bhuj airport reconstructed with the help of 300 local women after the runway was destroyed by the Pakistani Air Force.

He will also be seen in the film May Day,  which features Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh in the cast.
