Akshay wraps up shooting for Raksha Bandhan

Superstar Akshay Kumar today wrapped up the shooting for Anand Rai's Raksha Bandhan.

The shooting for the film, which is scheduled for release on Independence day next year,  was wrapped up with the completion of the last schedule at Akshay Kumar 's birthplace Chandni Chowk .

Sharing an emotional picture of himself with Akshay Kumar,  director Anand Rai said, 'It’s a wrap. Special film special bond @akshaykumar!!!! A journey well shared is a journey well enjoyed. #RakshaBandhan.'

Shooting for the film at Chandni Chowk has been a nostalgic trip for superstar Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar shared pictures of his taking a walk in the lanes of Chandni Chok.

For the Bollywood actor,  shooting for the film at his birthplace Chandni Chowk was a trip down memory lane.

Raksha Bandhan , which is being presented by Alka Hiranandani in association with Anand Rai, features Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar and Shruti Kumari in the lead roles.

The film is scheduled for release in cinemas on the Independence day weekend next year, setting up a clash with the Prabhas starrer Adipurush.

Akshay Kumar will be seen in a series of films in the coming months,  Including Ram Setu, Bachchan Pandey and Sooryavanshi.
