She has been winning hearts of audiences in the television show Maddam Sir with her portrayal of SHO Haseena Mallik , the head of a Mahila Police Thana who follows the dictum of policing with a heart.

Actress Gulki Joshi,  who has,  over the last one year, become a household name as SHO Haseena Malik, is proud of her association with Maddam Sir.

'It has been a fabulous journey for me with the show over the last one year. I have grown along with the show both personally and professionally,'Gulki Joshi said on the occasion of Maddam Sir completing 400 episodes.

For Gulki Joshi,  who has earlier worked in shows like Zee TV's Phir Subah Hogi,  Life OK's Nadaan Parindey Ghar Aaja and & TV’S mythological show Paramavatar Shri Krishna,  Maddam Sir is definitely a landmark show in her career,  winning her huge popularity as SHO Haseena Malik.

The coming days will see Gulki Joshi don a new hat in the show as fiesty street vendor Urmila who makes an entry in the show after the character of SHO Haseena Malik was shot by ASI Mira (played by Pankhuri Awasthy Rode) in what seemed an orchestration of a conspiracy by her enemies.

Gulki Joshi said that playing the character of Urmila gives her an opportunity to expand her reach as an artist.

'Playing the character of Urmila is an excellent opportunity for me, and I can’t thank my stars enough. With Urmila’s character, I will be donning a new hat as I get a chance to widen my horizon as an artist and experiment with a very new role,'Gulki Joshi said.

The actress said that she is extremely excited to don a new hat as Urmila.

'It feels great to be playing a different character, and I thank my makers for bestowing that trust onto me. Urmila is completely opposite to Haseena, and her character will bring exciting twists and turns to the show as I embark on this new endeavour. I hope my fans will show the same affection for Urmila as they did for Haseena,'she said.

Gulki Joshi made her debut on television with the show Phir Subah Hogi. A show  dealing with the Bediya community of Bundelkhand region in Madhya Pradesh, Phir Subah Hogi saw her play the role of Sugni, who challenges the custom of young girls dancing before the rich men.

  Later she portrayed the role of Meher in Life OK's show Nadaan Parindey Ghar Aaja,  a show set in the backdrop of India Pakistan conflict.

She also portrayed the role of Sawri in Colors TV's Ek Shringaar-Swabhiman and Naina in Zee TV's romantic drama Piyaa Albela. She starred as Devki in &TV's mythological drama Paramavatar Shri Krishna. She played the role of a reporter in MX Player's Bhaukaal.

Her role as SHO Haseena Malik has won her huge popularity .
