RRR crosses 1000 cr worldwide,  is 3rd highest grossing Indian film

Continuing its historic run at the box office, RRR has crossed the milestone of Rs 1000 cr worldwide,  becoming the third highest Indian grosser Worldwide.

RRR crossed the Rs 1000 cr milestone on its second Saturday,  making it the third highest Indian grosser worldwide after Dangal and Baahubali 2.

While Dangal has earned over Rs 200 cr worldwide,  Baahubali 2 has earned over Rs 1800 cr worldwide.

The collections of film on its opening week were over Rs 700 cr worldwide,  breaking the record for highest opening day collection  by an Indian film.

The Hindi version of the film has also done excellent business in India,  crossing the milestone of Rs 200 cr in two weeks.

Directed by SS Rajamouli (of Baahubali fame), RRR is a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Junior NTR ), who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively.

Made in Telugu, Hindi and other South Indian languages, RRR   produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments., stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris.

The film,  which was postponed several times due to production delays and due to the Covid-19 pandemic,  has created tremendous buzz due to it being helmed by S S Rajamouli, the presence of Junior NTR,  Ram Charan and Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn and due to its grand production values.

RRR opened to positive reviews .
