RRR (Hindi) earns over Rs 50 cr in its second weekend, fast approaching milestone of Rs 200 cr

Continuing its historic run at the box office in India, the Hindi version of the multilingual action thriller RRR  has crossed the Rs 50 cr mark in its second weekend,  setting the stage for a blockbuster run .

RRR (Hindi) earned Rs 20 cr on its second Sunday,  taking its earnings in the second weekend to Rs 51 cr.

The film has now earned Rs 183 cr at the end of its second weekend  and is fast approaching the Rs 200 cr mark and is set to be a blockbuster.

With earnings of Rs 51 cr in its second weekend,  RRR (Hindi) has found a place among top ten films having a collection of  over Rs 50 cr in its second weekend and has joined the league of blockbuster films like Baahubali 2, Dangal,  PK and Tiger  Zinda Hai..

The film is likely to touch the Rs 200 cr mark in India In the next few days  and could well touch the figure of Rs 250 cr.

RRR (Hindi) has done excellent business in Rajasthan,  Kolkata and several parts of Eastern India.  Infact, it has surpassed the collections of Sooryavanshi in several areas.

Directed by SS Rajamouli (of Baahubali fame), RRR is a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Junior NTR ), who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively.

Made in Telugu, Hindi and other South Indian languages, RRR   produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments., stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris.

The film,  which was postponed several times due to production delays and due to the Covid-19 pandemic,  has created tremendous buzz due to it being helmed by S S Rajamouli, the presence of Junior NTR,  Ram Charan and Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn and due to its grand production values.

RRR opened to positive reviews .

The collections of all versions of the film on its opening week are over Rs 700 cr worldwide,  breaking the record for highest opening day collection  by an Indian film.
