Bhool Bhulaiya 2 earns Rs 84 cr in six days

Continuing its strong run at the box office in India, horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiya2 earned Rs 84 cr in its first six days,  setting the stage for earning of over Rs 90 cr in its opening week.

Bhool Bhulaiya 2, which took a rocking start with collections of Rs 55 cr in its opening weekend,  remained steady during the week days.

The film had collections of Rs 8 cr on Wednesday,  taking its earnings in the first six days to Rs 84 cr.

The film has done excellent business in Delhi and NCR, Central India and Mumbai

The rocking start taken by Bhool Bhulaiya 2 ends the poor run by Bollywood films at the box office over the last few months.

Last few months have witnessed films like Jersey, Attack, Runway 34 and Heropanti2 take a below average opening at box office even as dubbed Hindi versions of multilingual action thrillers RRR and KGF2 have been drawing huge crowds at the theatres.

In this sense , the opening taken by Bhool Bhulaiya2 is the highest taken by a Hindi film in 2022.

Starring Kartik Aryan,  Kaira Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles, Bhool Bhulaiya2 is  a sequel to the successful 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiya that featured Akshay Kumar,  Vidya Balan and Shiny Ahuja in lead roles.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiya2 was initially scheduled for theatrical release on July 31, 2020 but was postponed due to Covid.

The film has evoked lot of curiosity among cinegoers with its promos and trailer generating tremendous buzz among cinegoers.

The music of the film has been composed by Pritam and Tanishk Bagchi with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, Sameer and Mandy Gill.
