Elated to win Best Actor award for Tanhaji: Ajay Devgn on bagging his 3rd National Film award

As he basks in the glory of bagging the National Film award for Best actor for  his film Tanhaji, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn says that he is alated to win his third National Award for Best Actor.

Reacting to the National Film Award for Tanhaji - The  Unsung Warrior,  which he won jointly  with South  Indian actor Suriya, Ajay Devgn said, '’I’m elated to win the Best Actor Award for Tanhaji—The Unsung Warrior at the 68th National Awards along with Suriya who won for Soorarai  Pottru. '

On the occasion,  he thanked his creative team for their  support  during the making of the film.  He also thanked the audience and his fans for the love bestowed on the film .

'I thank everyone, most of all my creative team, the audience and my fans. I also express my gratitude to my parents and the Almighty for their blessings. Congratulations to all the other winners,'Devgn said.


Ajay Devgn elated at bagging his third National Award for Best Actor for Tanhaji 





Tanhaji won three awards -Best Actor for Ajay Devgn. Best Popular film providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Costume for Nachiket Barve - at the 68th National  Film Awards announced on Friday.

Expressing  her happiness on Ajay Devgn winning the award, Bollywood actress and Devgn's wife Kajol said, 'Team Tanhaji wins 3 national awards. So happy and proud. Best Actor Ajay Devgn. Best Popular film providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Costume - Nachiket Barve.'

She also  posted on her Instagram account a throwback picture of herself and Ajay Devgn from the sets of Tanhaji.

This is the third National award for Ajay Devgn in the Best Actor category,

He had earlier bagged the award for Mahesh Bhatt's Zakhm in 1998 and for The Legend  of  Bhagat Singh in 2002.
