My mother is my Guru: Charrul Malik

She has earned popularity as a news anchor and journalist of several news channels,  including Aaj Tak and India TV.

News anchor and journalist turned actress Charrul Malik is currently grabbing attention as Rusa in the popular comedy show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan.

Charrul,  who has  made a successful transition from journalism to acting with television shows like Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai and Happu Ki Ultan Paltan,terms her mother as her Guru and credits her for shaping her life.

On the occasion of Guru Purnima,  Charrul Malik thanked her mother for shaping her life.

“My mother is my Guru. She has been instrumental in shaping my life, and I can’t thank her enough. She has been an all-rounder: a good Hindi professor, singer, and dancer. She had an unmatchable spark, and her never-give-up attitude helped me become what I am today.

She got this attitude from my Nana Ji, an IAS officer. My mother taught me everything, showed me directions, and made me experience life. She has always fueled my journey in journalism, anchoring, and acting. She always said, "one must be open to all possibilities in life; the worst you get is NO, but at least you tried". She also inspired me to keep moving ahead in life and never stop. There must be no saturation point in life,'Charrul said.

Guru Poornima is a day dedicated to all gurus. The Guru is considered someone who is either our teacher, mentor, or counselor who guides and inspires us and instills values and knowledge.

Charrul Malik has received accolades from viewers for her portrayal of Rusa  in the comedy show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan.

Earlier, she was a successful news anchor and journalist with Aaj Tak and India  TV.

She made a successful transition from journalism to acting and has worked in shows like Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai and Happu Ki Ultan Paltan.
