Khuda Haafiz2 earns Rs 5.75 cr in opening weekend

After a slow start at the box office, the action thriller Khuda Haafiz Chapter II Agni Pareeksha saw a jump in its collections on Sunday,  taking its collections in the opening weekend to Rs 5.75 cr.

After below average collections of Rs 3 cr in its first two days,  Khuda Haafiz2 recorded a sharp jump innits earnings on Sunday to Rs 2.75 cr. The collections of the film during the opening weekend are Rs 5.75 cr.

The film witnessed a sharp increase in its earnings in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.

However,  trade experts say that the film needs to maintain steady collections on the week days to perform well at the box office.

The jump in the collections of the film notwithstanding,  the film has performed below expectations.

The lukewarm response to the film continues the average run of Bollywood films over the last few months.

Infact, last few months have seen a majority of big starrers from Bollywood, including Jersey, Attack, Runway 34 and Heropanti2, perform below expectations at the box office.

Barring The Kashmir Files, Bhool Bhulaiya 2 and , to an extent,  Jug Jugg Jeeyo,  other big Hindi films have failed to draw crowds to the theatres.

A sequel to the 2020 film Khuda Haafiz,  streamed on Disney Hotstar last year,
Khuda Haafiz2 has been produced by Kumar Mangat Paathak, Abhishek Pathak, Surya Bimal Parekh and Ram Mirchandani and written and directed by Faruk Kabir , 

Khuda Haafiz 2 stars Vidyut Jamwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi in lead roles.

Khuda haafiz Chapter 2 Agni Pareeksha had created  tremendous buzz among cinegoerswith its promos and trailers promising an  drenaline pumping fare like the original
