It felt like a family for real:Vishal Vashistha on working with his reel family in Disney Hotstar’s Ghar Waapsi


Releasing on July 22, Ghar Waapsi marks Disney+ Hotstar’s first association with Dice Media

He has carved a niche for himself as an actor  on television with shows like Veera on Star  Plus and Ishq Mein Marjawan on Colors.

Actor Vishal Vashishtha will now be seen in the slice of life show Ghar Waapsi,  which is scheduled to be streamed on Disney Hotstar from July 22.

Ahead of the release of the series,  Vishal Vashishtha said that being on the sets of Ghar Waapsi felt like home.

Directed by two-time National award-winning director, Ruchir Arun, the slice-of-life drama revolves around the Dwivedi household in Indore following the homecoming of their beloved son.

In a chat,  Vishal Vashishtha shared how the cast of the show strongly bonded as a family during the filming of the series.


Actor Vishal Vashishtha says that being on the sets of Ghar Waapsi felt like home 




'The entire time we spent at Dwivedi house. All of us felt like it was our own home. All five of us actually used to sit in the small lawn and just chat. This is where we would take tea breaks in the evening too. It felt like a family for real. After we wrapped up, the entire crew was missing this wholesomeness of the Dwivedi house,'Vishal said.

With Ghar Waapsi,  Disney Hotstar brings for viewers a coming-of-age millennial story of familial ties, friendship and ambition.

Ghar Waapsi is the story of the wholesome Dwivedi household and their hilarious journey towards self-discovery.

Produced by Dice Media,  with Ashwin Suresh serving as the showrunner, the 6-episode long series stars Vishal Vashishtha, Akanksha Thakur, Atul Shrivastava, Vibha Chibber, Saad Bilgrami, and Anushka Kaushik.
