Koffee With Karan back with its seventh season after a gap of three years

After a gap of three years, popular celebrity chat show Koffee with Karan is back with its seventh season on Disney Hotstar.

The seventh season of Koffee with Karan premieres tonight with an episode featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.

Ahead of the streaming of the episode on Disney Hotstar,  Karan Johar shared a promo video of the opening episode.

Karan Johar shared the promo video on the occasion of Ranveer Singh’s birthday on Wednesday.

Speaking about the new season of the popular chat show,  Disney Hotstar said,
This time we strive to make it as sinful as the seven deadly sins with popular celebrity guests, unique combinations, new exciting games and of course, the steamiest rapid-fire round.
The world is back from a two-year lockdown, and everyone (we mean EVERYONE) is ready for that much-awaited Koffee shot to jolt us back into a world we love so much, a world where a lot, sometimes too much happens over a cup of Koffee.'

Some of the notable celebrity  guests expected on Koffee with Karan 7 include Kriti Sanon, Anil Kapoor,  Shahid Kapoor,  Akshay Kumar,  Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff,  jhanvi Kapoor and Ananya Pandey.

Hosted by filmmaker and television personality Karan Johar, and produced by Dharmatic, the digital division of his production company, Dharma Productions. Koffee With Karan debuted on November 19 2004, and has aired six seasons since then, over a span of seventeen years.

First six seasons of the  show aired on Star World India (2004–2019) with the second season being simulcasted on Star One (2007).

From this year, Koffee with Karan has moved over to Disney+ Hotstar as a streaming exclusive under the service's content hub, Hotstar Specials, with the seventh season airing on the streaming platform.

Koffee with karan is the second longest-running talk show after Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan on Indian Hindi-language television, as well as one of the most watched Indian English-language television shows.
