Intense action drama Shoorveer premieres on Disney Hotstar July 15

Adrenaline pumping action thrillers with a patriotic streak are in vogue on the digital screen.

After action thrillers Shershah on Amazon Prime Video and Avarodh 2 on Sony Liv, Shoorveer,  an intense action drama seeking to evoke a spirit of patriotism among viewers,  is all set to premiere on Disney Hotstar next week.

A fictional military drama that follows the coming together of the three wings of the armed forces- the Army, Navy and the Indian Air Force- Shoorveer premieres on Disney Hotstar on July 15.

The series will witness the coming together of some of the best officers from the Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and the Indian Army to form an elite  force to repulse an imminent attack that could cripple the country.

As the nation faces an imminent attack that could cripple the country and its defence systems, an elite joint services unit rises to the occasion of safeguarding the nation, but little do they know that this mission will test the limits of their courage and grit.

The show will take viewers through the journey of the various  officers of the Army, Navy and Air Force during the course of the  mission to safeguard the Nation .

Directed by Kanishk Verma and created by Samar Khan,  Shoorveer stars Makarand Deshpande, Manish Chaudhari, Regina Cassandra, Armaan Ralhan, Aadil Khan, Abhishek Saha, Anjali Barot, Kuldeep Sareen, Arif Zakaria, Faisal Rashid, Sahil Mehta  and Shivya Pathani in pivotal  roles.

Ahead of the release of the series,  it's director Kanishk Verma,  terming it as one of his toughest shows, said that witnessing it all come together on screen has been a satisfying experience.

He said that one of the highlights of the show are its aerial combat sequences,  the likes of which have never been seen on Indian screen before..

Talking about the show,  it's creator Samar Khan said, ” Shoorveer was visualized with the idea of presenting an intense drama of actions and emotions. The series also moves some characters that build a strong emotional connection that I feel like a very critical element with the armed force. We don’t remember the last time any series brings all the three forces together, and with Shoorveer, Disney Plus Hotstar also provided such offers. I am so looking forward to seeing how the audience will reach Shoorveer and we were fortunate to have such a strong cast that came together   for the show.”
