After the super success of science fiction thriller Brahmastra , much awaited psychological thriller Chup: Revenge of the artist is all set to hit cinema screens across the country this week.

Directed by award winning filmmaker R Balki, Chup: Revenge of the artist, starring Bollywood star and MP Sunny Deol, Dulqueer Salmaan, Shreya Dhanwanthary and Pooja Bhatt in key roles, releases in cinemas on September 23.

Ahead of the release of the film,  actor Dulqueer Salmaan,  who plays a pivotal role in the movie,  said that he is grateful to have got a chance to act in such a great content film.

Speaking to reporters during a promotional visit to Delhi,  the actor said, 'I am very happy to work in such a great content movie.  I am a genuine lover of cinema and I am grateful that I got a chance to work with R. Balki sir. '

On getting flak for some of his work in the past,  Dulqueer Salmaan said, 'there are days when criticism affects you. But, at the end it is your good work that matters.”

Produced by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Jayantilal Gada and Gauri Shinde, Chup: Revenge of the Artist,  is a thriller that depicts the pain of an artist who suffers from wrong criticism.

The film is meant to be a tribute to legendary filmmaker Guru Dutt.

Chup: The Revenge of an artist,  is the story of a serial killer who targets film critics.

Sunny Deol plays a police officer who is tasked with investigating the serial killings.

Filmmaker R. Balki says cinema legend Guru Dutt was the perfect reference point for "Chup: Revenge of the Artist",

A teaser of "Chup", unveiled over the weekend to mark Dutt's 97th birth anniversary, pays homage to the late director's film Kaagaz Ke Phool.

The trailer of the film has peaked the curiosity of the cinegoers.

The film  marks the return of Sunny Deol to the big screen after a long gap.
