Nearly four weeks after it hit theatres across the country, the Amitabh Bachchan Emraan Hashmi starrer Chehre streams on Amazon Prime Video from today.

Chehre streams on Amazon Prime Video from today

A psychological thriller,  Chehre has been directed by Rumy Jaffery and produced by Anand Pandit and Saraswati Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

Besides Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi,  the film also features Annu Kapoor, Krystal D Souza and Rhea Chakraborty in pivotal roles.

The streaming of Chehre on Amazon Prime Video comes nearly four weeks after its release in theatres,  on August 27.

Released in cinema halls amid a threat of Delta variant of covid and looming threat of third wave of coronavirus,  Chehre had a below average run at the box office despite the presence of megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi.

The film earned Rs 2.75 crore in the opening weekend of its release and Rs 6.75 crore in its opening week.

The lacklustre opening taken by the film came despite tremendous buzz created by it ahead of its release. The below average run of the film in theatres has been attributed to the closure of cinema halls in Maharashtra amid the threat of the Delta variant of covid and looming threat of third wave of COVID-19

Cinema halls in Maharashtra are scheduled to open from October 22.
