Gargi is a character close to my heart; Kangana Baruah

She has caught the attention of viewers with her portrayal of Gargi,  an independent woman with a mind of her own, in the television show Sab Satrangi,  being telecast on Sab TV.

Sab Satrangi may be centred around Mohit Kumar,  who plays the role of Manu or Mankameshwar,  the darling of the Maurya family, but actress Kangana Baruah Nangia has also grabbed eyeballs as Gargi who is resentful of her being forcibly married off to a stranger Manu and wants to undo the wrong done to her.

With Sab Satrangi winning accolades from viewers with its slice of life feel,  Kangana Nangia says that working in the show with its relatable theme and characters has been a great experience.


Actress Kangana Baruah says that the character of Gargi in Sab Satrangi is close to her heart 


'Sab Satrangi is a light hearted show with characters that are extremely relatable .
I am happy and quite excited to be  part of a show with extremely relatable characters and slice of life quality,'she said.

Kangana said that her character Gargi is someone with whom she deeply relates.

'Gargi is an independent and motivated woman with a mind of her own. She is someone who will go all the way to fight for what she feels is right for her..In Sab Satrangi,  Gargi's father has forced her to marry a stranger. To top that, she feels like a commodity, bought in exchange for a price. However, even though the situation is not ideal, Gargi is not someone to give in. She will fight for her love, Vishwas,

As an actor I found the character of Gargi quite relatable.  She is quite similar to how I am in real life, 'Kangana said.

Kangana said that the episodes of the show and its characters are highly relatable and sure to strike a chord with the viewers.

'The characters In the show are ones viewers will closely identify with.  For example, ,  Gargi 's character the show starts with my character Gargi standing up firmly resentful of her forcible marriage to someone whom she does not love .

However,  as the show progresses,  she grows fond of the kind hearted Mannu. I feel it is a situational viewers will identify with, 'Kangana said.

Sab Satrangi,  a heartwarming and quintessential family drama that tells the  story of a righteous young man Manu and his Atrangi Maurya family,  premiered on Sab TV on February 7 at 7 30 pm. 

Headlined by Mohit Kumar, who plays the role of Manu, the show features an amazing ensemble of actors in Daya Shankar Pandey, Kangana Baruah nangia, Joyoshree Arora, Puru Chibber, Satyajit Sharma, amongst others. 

Set in the picturesque city of Lucknow, Sab Satrangi follows Mannkameshwar also called Manu (Mohit Kumar), a righteous young man who sticks to his virtues of goodness and optimism, despite the odds and adverse situations life throws at him. Manu is his daadi’s ladla, the family matriarch essayed by Joyoshree Arora. 

Kangana Nangia made her acting debut with Beyhadh2 on Sony TV.  She later worked  in TV show  Love J Action .
