She grabbed eyeballs as the chirpy and the vivacious Guddan in the 2018 television show Guddan Tumse Naa Ho Paayega, which was about the journey of a kind and young girl Guddan as she looks to revive her father's restaurant business.

After the immensely successful Guddan Tumse Naa Ho Paayega, aired on  Zee TV in 2018, Television actress Kanika Mann will now be seen as the Eternally romantic Pisha is the romantic mystery drama Roohaniyat,  currently streaming on MX Player.

Ahead of streaming of Roohaniyat, a first of its kind long format drama on OTT,  Kanika Mann said that with Pisha in Roohaniyat , she wanted to break away from her image of the chirpy and full of life Guddan.

'One of the aims of taking up the role of Pisha in Roohaniyat was to break away from my image of the sweet and chirpy Guddan . Infact,  after Guddan Tumse Naa Ho Paayega,  I took a break to explore something different, 'Kanika said in a chat.

A romantic mystery drama, Roohaniyat is a first of its kind long format show on OTT.

Roohaniyat, starring Arjun Bijlani, Kanika Mann, Smita Bansal and Aman Verma in key roles heralds the arrival of a new and specialised type of OTT content that can be enjoyed by all members of the family together.

Kanika said that she found the title of the show quite attractive and was one of the reasons for her taking it up.

'I found the title of the show very catchy. Infact,  it was one of the reasons I decided to take up the role.

Talking about her character,  Kanika said, 'Pisha is someone who feels that forever is not a lie while saveer believes that forever is a lie. I feel that many women will find the character of Pisha extremely relatable. '

The actress said she is quite similar to Pisha in a lot of ways.

'Like Pisha,  I  too feel that love is a thing  which is forever. Being in love is a beautiful feeling,'she said.

Kanika Mann said playing the character of Pusha in Roohaniyat  has given her an opportunity to dive into the concept of love.

 “I am the ultimate example of a hopeless romantic, which is why I could get under my character’s skin so easily. Roohaniyat’s Prisha has given me a chance to deep dive into the concept of love. I have poured my heart and soul into this show. Like in real life, the twists are what makes the show worth the wait. I hope our audience will appreciate the differentiated style of narrative from the usual OTT shows,'she said.

Talking about her future projects,  she said, 'next, I will be doing a Punjabi film.
