Bhool Bhulaiya 2 crosses Rs  100 cr in 9 days

Continuing its strong run at the box office,  horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiya2 reached the milestone of Rs 100 cr at the box office in the first nine days,  becoming the first Hindi film to do so in 2022.

Riding on the chill factor , the brand value of the original film and notable performances by Tabu and Kartik Aryan,  Bhool Bhulaiya2 reached a figure of Rs 107 cr at the end of its second Saturday.

The film, which took a rocking start at the box office with collection of Rs 55 cr in its opening weekend,  saw above average collections of Rs 11 cr on its second Saturday,  taking its earnings in the first nine days to Rs 107 cr.

This is the fastest Rs 100 cr earned by a Hindi film in 2022

Bhool Bhulaiya2 saw excellent business in Delhi,  Mumbai and other metropolitan cities in the country.

With the film drawing crowds at the theatres,  trade experts say that it could reach the Rs 150 cr mark at the end of its second week.

A sequel to the 2007 blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiya,  which starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in lead roles,  Bhool Bhulaiya2,  directed bg Anees Bazmee,  stars Kartik Aryan, Kaira Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles.

Bhool Bhulaiya2 took a rocking start with collections of Rs 55 cr in its opening weekend,.

The film has done excellent business in South and East India, Delhi and NCR and Central India

The rocking start taken by Bhool Bhulaiya2 ends the poor run by Bollywood films at the box office over the last few months.

Last few months have witnessed films like Jersey, Attack, Runway 34 and Heropanti2 take a below average opening at box office even as dubbed Hindi versions of multilingual action thrillers RRR and KGF2 have been drawing huge crowds at the theatres.

In this sense , the opening taken by Bhool Bhulaiya2 is the highest taken by a Hindi film in 2022.

The film has evoked lot of curiosity among cinegoers with its promos and trailer generating tremendous buzz among cinegoers.

The music of the film has been composed by Pritam and Tanishk Bagchi with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, Sameer and Mandy Gill.
