Jhund to release on Zee5 on May 6

After garnering acclaim from audiences as well as critics for its social message and performances of the cast, including megastar Amitabh Bachchan, the biopic Jhund will release on the OTT this week.
Jhund, which is based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer, involved in reforming Street kids by giving a constructive direction to their lives, is set to release on Zee5 streaming platform on May 6.

A sports teacher on the verge of retirement, Vijay Barse made a soccer team comprising of children living in a Slum located besides the college where he works and near the colony where he lives.
Jhund is about Vijay Barse's attempt to rehabilitate the street kids by keeping them off drugs and crime by building a football team comprising of these children.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Sandip Singh, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni and Meenu Arora under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment Pvt.Ltd and Aatpat Films, Jhund features megastar Amitabh Bachchan in the role of Vijay Barse.
Written and directed by Nagraj Manjule, Jhund also stars Akash Thosar, Rinku Rajguru and Ankush Gedam in pivotal roles.
The release of the film on the OTT platform comes two months after its release in theatres on March 4.
After its theatrical release, Jhund received acclaim from audience as well as critics.
