Disney Hotstar has unveiled the trailer of the film, which will feature well known actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi  in the lead,  playing  a double role for the first time in his career.

Incidentally,  Hiphop Tamizha Adhi has also scored music for the film.

Produced by TG Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films, Anbarivu
features a stellar cast including actors Vidharth, Kashmira Pradeshi, Saikumar, KPY Dheena and others.

Anbarivu will also feature  veteran actor Napoleon in a pivotal role.

The trailer of the film,  crafted as a fun family entertainer, reveals the Tamil film to span across three generations and make for a gripping watch.

Anbarivu revolves around the shaky bonding between three generations of men in a Madurai-based family who are tied by fate and greed.

The district of Madurai is made up of Arasapuram and Andiapuram, with Arasapuram being the town of the landlords and Andiapuram, the town of the workers. The constitutional candidate for Madurai is always selected from Andiapuram but the candidate is selected by the Head of Arasapuram, Muniyandi. Pasupathy vies for the MLA seat but he knows Muniyandi’s son-in-law, Prakasam, is the front runner for it.

Greed pushes Pasupathy to force Prakasam to break up his family and flee with one of his twins, Arivu to Canada. The other twin, Anbu grows up with his mother, Laxmi. When Arivu returns to India and wants to patch his broken family, he is challenged by the stubbornness of his father and greed of Pasupathy.

Actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi will be seen playing the role of twin brothers, Arivu and Anbu, who parted in childhood.

They both grow-up with different personalities. While Arivu grows up in Canada to become a replica of his humble and righteous mother, Anbu is brought up in Madurai and mimics his grandfather, played by Napoleon, who is stubborn and lives by grey principles.

Speaking about the film, director Aswin Ram, who makes his debut as director with Anbarivu, said, “Anbarivu is a double-action family entertainer that will touch every sentiment of the audience. The script penned by Pon Parthiban is one of a kind and I feel extremely proud that I got to anchor it as my first directorial. Here the characters have been meticulously created to walk the fine balance between fate and love. It has been a fun experience working with the extremely talented cast and crew on this fun project, I hope it receives much love from the audience.”

Talking about the film, lead actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi said, “Action, romance and comedy all get tied wonderfully in Anbarivu. It has been a fascinating experience working on this project, more so because it was my first time playing dual characters. The fact that they are twins with very different personalities and traits made it even more challenging. However, it has been a good learning curve and I really hope the audience enjoys my portrayal of Arivu and Anbu.”

Anbarivu’s producer, TG Thyagarajan commenting on the film, said, “Every film carries with it a charisma that makes it stand out. For Anbarivu, it is its unique story that spans across three generations, their fiery dynamics and the fact that they are all tied by fate. Actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi has wonderfully portrayed the role of twin brothers in the film. Napoleon in his role as a power baron grandfather displays a different palate of emotions. I hope the film’s release on Disney+ Hotstar helps us take this wonderful film to a wide audience.”
