Dhadkan; Zindaggii Kii, story of a woman challenging patriarchy in society & workplace,on Sony TV from tonight

After success of Bade Achche lagte hain 2, the unconventional love story of a couple in the late 30s, Sony Entertainment Television is set to telecast from tonight Dhadkan; Zindaggi Kii, a show that challenges the discrimination against women in family, society and the workplace .

To be aired from 10 pm from Monday to Friday every week on Sony entertainment television, Dhadkan; Zindaggi Kii will trace the journey of Deepika, a woman who challenges patriarchy in her family, society and at her workplace to pursue a career in a male-dominated profession.
Dhadkan; Zindaggi Kii will feature television actress Additi Gupta in the role of Deepika.
The show will feature Rohit Purohit , who played Alexander in the period drama Porus, in the male lead. Besides Additi Gupta and Rohit Purohit, Dhadkan; Zindaggi Kii also features Nishanth Singh and Raghav Dhir in key roles.
Set in a hospital, Dhadkan; Zindaggii Kii tells the story of Deepika who faces gender discrimination and stereotypes at the workplace and society.
The series will show Deepika struggle to sustain her position of the chief at a hospital despite being the best doctor.
Ahead of the telecast of the show, it's female lead Additi Gupta, who was last seen in the television show Kaal Bhairav Rahasya on Star Bharat, said that she is extremely excited to be a part of the show.
'I am extremely excited to be a part of the show. It is unlike any how that I have done before. I am blessed to have got an opportunity to be a part of the show,'she said.
About her character of Deepika, Additi Gupta said, 'Deepika is a fiercely independent woman who challenges the prevailing discrimination against women at the workplace and society. She is an inspiration for other women in society. '
For the male lead Rohit Purohit, Dhadkan; Zindaggii Kii is an opportunity to do something challenging as an actor and play a character unlike what he has played earlier.
Rohit Purohit was earlier seen in the role of Greek ruler Alexander in the period drama Porus, aired on Sony entertainment television a few years ago.
Additi has earlier worked in shows like Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil, Qubool Hai, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil and Ishqbaaz.
