Action sequences done by me in Yodha are my best in last decade: Siddharth Malhotra

After winning accolades for his 2021 film Shershah and the OTT series Indian Police Force, Bollywood heartthrob Siddharth Malhotra is set to win hearts with his upcoming action thriller Yodha.

Ahead of the release of Yodha on March 15, Siddharth Malhotra said that Yodha is a hardcore action thriller and that the action sequences performed by him in the film are his best over the last decade.

In the capital city of Delhi for the promotion of Yodha, the first part of an action franchise headlined by him, Siddharth Malhotra said,'the action that I got to perform in Yodha  is very different from 'Shershaah'. Here I am more energetic, and lean, and use different sorts of weapons.

Yodha is a far more commercial and entertaining film(compared to Shershah) . I think it has got my best of action sequences that I have done in last decade or so.'

Accompanied by his co stars Raashi Khanna and Disha Patani, Siddharth Malhotra,  who was last seen in the OTT series 'Indian Police Force ',said that Yodha is quite different from Shershah, the biographical war film he did that was based on the life of Kargil war hero Vikram Batra.

"Yodha is a completely fictitious story. We have created a new task force - Yodha. So when you create something from zero, then you can take a lot of liberties. We have done many variations that what all Yodha task force will do,'Siddharth Malhotra said.

Scheduled for release in cinemas on March 15, Yodha is jointly produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan.

Yodha has been, directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha.

During the promotional visit of the film in Delhi,  Siddharth Malhotra,  Raashi Khanna and Disha Patani also launched a patriotic song 'Tiranga' which is sung by B. Praak.

The music of the film is by Tanishk Bagchi, and the lyrics are by Manoj Muntashir Shukla.

Siddharth said that he was happy to be in Delhi,  which is his hometown.

'Delhi is my hometown. It's always good to be back here,"  Sidharth said.

Yodha is the story of how an off duty soldier aboard a plane works out a strategy to rescue the passengers after terrorists hijack the passenger plane.

Yodha also stars Ronit Roy and Tanuj Virwani in pivotal roles.

Yodha marks the return of Raashi Khanna to Bollywood films after a long gap after her debut in Madras Cafe, where she starred opposite John Abraham.
