RRR(Hindi) earns Rs 131 cr in opening week, becomes the highest earner in opening week post pandemic

Continuing with its strong run at the box office, The Hindi version of the multilingual RRR has earned Rs 131 cr in its opening week.

RRR (Hindi) earned Rs 11.5 cr on Thursday,  which is just a minimal drop from the previous day.

The collections of Rs 11.5 cr on Thursday has taken the earnings of the film in its opening week to Rs 131 cr.

This the highest earning by a Hindi film in its opening week post the Covid pandemic.

RRR (Hindi) has earned higher than Sooryavanshi in most parts of North India.

The film, which earned Rs 75 cr in its opening weekend, breached the milestone of Rs 100 cr in just five days.

With crowds still thronging to the theatres,  RRR (Hindi) is set to cross the 
Rs 200 cr mark at the box office in India in the  coming  weeks. 

Directed by SS Rajamouli (of Baahubali fame), RRR is a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Junior NTR ), who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively.

Made in Telugu, Hindi and other South Indian languages, RRR   produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments., stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris.

The film,  which was postponed several times due to production delays and due to the Covid-19 pandemic,  has created tremendous buzz due to it being helmed by S S Rajamouli, the presence of Junior NTR,  Ram Charan and Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn and due to its grand production values.

RRR opened to positive reviews .

The collections of all versions of the film on its opening day are Rs 240 cr worldwide,  breaking the record for highest opening day collection  by an Indian film.
